Oops! We did it again...#COVIDbridezilla strikes again as our wedding takes a rain check: The postponement announcement that promises a funnier, fuller ballroom bash!

...

Oops! COVID-19 is ravaging weddings and sending brides into utter hysteria. What was supposed to be a beautiful day ends up causing sleepless nights filled with disappointment, worry, and financial loss. Here we go again with yet another rescheduling announcement- #COVIDbridezilla strikes again!

The pandemic disrupted every wedding couple's dream. Statistics have shown that 80% of couples in the USA postponed or canceled their weddings, and 56% re-booked for later in the year or mid-2022. Sadly, there are no guarantees just yet that things will be back to normal as we had hoped. So, what's a bride and groom to do? Truthful answer- wait and see (sorry).

Yes, we had huge plans to throw a party like no other. A day filled with laughter, dancing, and an unlimited supply of bubbly drinks. But then the pandemic hit, and we had to draw out PLAN B.

We opted to sit tight and patiently wait for our special day. We want nothing more than the gathering of our loved ones, without all the restrictions spoiling the fun. As the COVID-19 has disrupted the original plans, postponing our wedding is the next best step towards reaffirming our love for each other.

So please friends and family, help us celebrate this occasion at a time when we can hold your hands, dance together, and enjoy every moment without restrictions. Thanks to COVID-19, we have a reimagined fairytale. Pause, hold, rewind- that’s right, let's do it again without limitations.

Cheers to our self-designed (hopefully virus-free) perfect day! It may not have been easy choosing a date and location now-a-days, but we quickly learned that great things do indeed come to those who wait. Please join us as we prepare for this longtime celebration of love- See you soon!

If you find yourself in a similar situation, don't hesitate to listen to that voice. Yes, COVID-19 caused tremendous chaos and wreaked havoc on most occasions, but think of it as Plan-B: Blessings - Endurance - Patience.

Stay Safe,

Happy Couple!

Introduction

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, many couples had to cancel or reschedule their weddings. However, some managed to go ahead with their weddings with limited guests at the small venues. But they rejoice not! COVID-19 strikes back with its second wave, its victim being #COVIDbridezilla who made news last year with her demands and tantrums. This time she had to take a raincheck and postpone her wedding yet again! Let's have a look at the comparison of this postponement announcement with the previous one.

Previous Announcement

The Necessity

Last year, when #COVIDbridezilla was forced to announce the postponement of her wedding, it was due to government restrictions on gatherings. It saddened her deeply, but the circumstance was beyond her control.

Emotional Rollercoaster

She went through an emotional rollercoaster with her tears and screams, but she accepted the reality and moved on.

The Compromise

Instead of wallowing in self-pity and glossing over life's realities, she embraced the culture of compromise and looked forward to a smaller, more intimate celebration with close family and friends.

The Latest Announcement

The Consequence

The second wave of the raging pandemic catches up with our beloved #COVIDbridezilla once again. Perhaps she didn't take it seriously last year when she had taken her first rainchecks; now she is compelled to announce another round of delay.

Dealing with Disappointment

This time around, instead of weeping and wailing, she is calm and composed, having learned how to deal with disappointments.

The Promise of Party

She is looking to create an even greater and more amusing experience through the adventure of planning a wedding in a pandemic. She hopes that the after-effects of the pandemic will magically resolve before the party starts.

Our Opinion

While we sympathize with #COVIDbridezilla's situation, her reactions to different circumstances in both these announcements feel poles apart. Her maturity in dealing with a disappointing situation this time deserves applause.

Rescheduling a wedding is usually an adverse scenario, bringing about unpredictable stress and frustration, but it could also bring clarity and positivity to life. Hopefully, the postponed celebration doesn't add to the total amount of bitterness caused by the pandemic and it turns into happy memories. We wish #COVIDbridezilla a fantastic and grand celebration soon.

Thank you for stopping by and reading about my experience as a COVID bride. Although postponing our wedding was a difficult decision, we are looking forward to planning a funnier and fuller ballroom bash in the future.

To all the other brides out there facing similar challenges, stay strong, stay creative, and remember that the love and commitment behind your wedding day will shine through no matter what. We will get through this together.

Until next time,
